Building Learning Systems That Scale
Senior Instructional Designer and Curriculum Lead with eight years of experience building scalable curriculum frameworks and learning systems that transform complex content into clear, trusted learning experiences. Recognized for complex curriculum architecture, standards alignment, learning objective mapping, and gap analysis, across large content ecosystems. Former K–12 educator with deep classroom insight into translating standards-based frameworks into practical, adoption-ready learning solutions for diverse audiences.
Impact
Explore the impact of some of my past projects. Each project reflects my drive to deliver thoughtful, effective training.
Led the end-to-end curriculum design and training strategy for a large-scale product change, where thousands of nonprofit customers needed to successfully transition to new workflows without disrupting their operations. Poor adoption would mean increased support costs, customer churn, and damage to retention.
Training Strategy for Major Software Overhaul
-
I partnered with Product, Customer Success, and Marketing to ensure learning initiatives were tightly aligned to business goals, not just feature documentation.
I used Customer Support and Adoption data to make decisions about the types of training that would impact customer adoption.
-
Rather than building course-by-course from a feature list, I conducted skill gap analyses to identify where users were most likely to struggle and where failed adoption would hurt the business most.
I built a multi-modal curriculum using Articulate Rise and Storyline for self-paced eLearning, Camtasia for software demos, and microlearning for high-frequency, high-stakes tasks, so customers could get what they needed in the moment.
With 2,000 customers across segments, I designed materials that could be updated efficiently as the product evolved, without rebuilding from scratch.
-
Drove measurable improvements in product proficiency and 90% user adoption across the customer base
Reduced customer support requests by incorporating training into the product and help documentation, equipping users with targeted learning at the moment of need. Achieved a 9.17 CSAT score for instructor-led training.
Strengthened customer retention by identifying high-impact training needs, using customer support data, reducing friction during a high-risk transition period

This curriculum comprised 50 instructor-led, eLearning, and microlearning courses that have been consumed over 94,000 times by more than 15,000 customers, making it one of the highest-reach training programs in Blackbaud's customer education portfolio.
Understanding the audience shaped every design decision. Learners were busy financial and accounting professionals operating across global time zones, balancing compliance demands with day-to-day responsibilities. That context drove a deliberate choice toward efficiency and clarity.
The curriculum was built using a modern, lean production stack chosen to balance quality with maintainability:
Articulate Rise for responsive, self-paced eLearning
Articulate Storyline for branched software simulations
Camtasia & Audacity for video and audio production
Descript for captioning and accessibility complianc
Every tool choice was intentional, keeping content easy to update as the software evolved.

NASBA/CFRE Compliance Program Management
Blackbaud's Continuing Education program offers customers the ability to earn professional credits toward two highly regulated credentials — NASBA (National Association of State Boards of Accountancy) and CFRE (Certified Fundraising Executive). For customers in accounting and fundraising roles, these credits are a professional requirement.
When I took ownership of the program, it was disorganized and at risk. With 1,500 courses, webinars, and conferences requiring accurate credit tracking and accreditation compliance, the cracks in the system had real consequences. For customers whose credits might not be recognized, and for Blackbaud's standing as an approved credit provider.
-
I stabilized and restructured the program from the inside out, focusing on the two highest-risk areas:
Credit tracking infrastructure. I overhauled the data and procedure systems underlying a library of 1,500 courses, building reliable processes where inconsistent ones existed. This meant customers could trust that the credits they earned were accurately recorded and reportable.
Contract and compliance management. I took over management of contract renewals with both credentialing bodies, ensuring Blackbaud maintained its status as an approved provider, a designation that, if lost, would have directly impacted thousands of customers' ability to earn professional credits through the platform. I expanded the scope of the program so that customers could earn professional credits for eLearning courses, as well.
-
Protected the professional credentialing of 80,000 customers who rely on Blackbaud's CE program to meet licensing requirements
Eliminated compliance risk for Blackbaud as an accredited provider with NASBA and CFRE
Expanded professional credit offerings to eLearning courses, and trained internal staff on NASBA and CFRE requirements

WCAG 2.1 AA Compliance Accessibility Audit & Remediation
As a customer education team serving tens of thousands of users globally, Blackbaud's learning materials needed to be usable by everyone, including learners with visual, auditory, and cognitive disabilities.
I conducted comprehensive accessibility audits across the full content library, spanning eLearning courses (Articulate Rise and Storyline), PDFs and job aids, videos, and instructor-led materials, evaluating each against WCAG 2.1 AA standards.
Impact
Brought a broad content library into compliance with WCAG 2.1 AA standards
Made learning materials accessible to a wider range of customers across ability levels
Reduced legal and compliance exposure for Blackbaud at enterprise scale
